Natalie & Zach's Engagement Party

Here are some of the pictures from our weekend in Athens. We went to celebrate Natalie & Zach's engagement and had a wonderful time. The party was spectacular and the soon to be bride and groom looked like a million bucks.

Who did not feel like a million bucks?? The babysitter. After dealing with Harrison for 6 hours I think she was ready to do some celebrating of her own.

Harrison did enjoy himself while we were there. He discovered what it is like to actually have fall leaves around, he explored the Athens Zoo, and he made a small attempt at tailgating. And by small attempt I mean he made no effort at all to pretend like he could behave at such an event. Note to self: Under no circumstances will you ever take Harrison to a tailgate party again with the intention of having a good time. We did have a lot of fun in Athens for the rest of the weekend and as always, it was great to see everyone!

Dress Rehersal

Oh the holidays! For some reason, I have a fascination with getting all the animals dressed up for a Christmas card and that includes Harrison. Yes, most days, I do consider him an animal. And I mean that in the nicest way possible.

Yesterday, after an unsuccessful attempt with a nap, I decided I would try to stage my next Christmas card. 1 sleepy toddler + 3 neurotic animals = excellent opportunity for a snapshot. I may have had better luck on a safari trying to photograph a tiger from 5 feet a way. I'm sure you can tell from some of the pictures that it just wasn't working out. Maybe practice will make perfect.

I love this picture, even though it is missing 2 of my favorite animals.

Imaginary Conversations

Harrison loves using the phone. He will have 20 minute conversations with the actual telephone and you never know how the conversation is going to go. Sometimes he screams at the phone, sometimes he laughs, and sometimes he jabbers on as if someone on the other line is responding to his every word. Today I decided to narrate one of his conversations.

Yeah boss, I'm sorry. I just don't feel good enough to come into work today.

Hmm... No I did not realize that.

Hang on let me look at my calendar.

Oh my God...It is Saturday! Nevermind, I gotta go.
