Sanibel Island

We took a leisurely trip to Sanibel Island, yesterday, to check out the area and spend some time in the sand. It was a gorgeous afternoon and even though my navigating skills cost us a later arrival than expected, we got there with plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the afternoon on the beach. Sanibel is a beautiful beach filled with all kinds of shells. We were able to find several new homes for our hermit crabs when they decide to upgrade to a bigger house. Brooks enjoyed her time mostly chasing birds, licking shells, and dancing and Harrison had fun tossing the net, playing catch and of course, looking for unique shells. We had a great time and it was well worth the effort of getting there.

Training Wheels No More

Training wheels are a thing of the past for the H Man. He took to the road like a fish in water and I'm pretty sure that biking is about to get a brand new image. Later Lance, Harrison is ready to show you what this sport is all about!

Nana's Visit

Last week, my mom came to Naples to visit us and see what this place is all about. We had a fantastic time with her. The kids enjoyed having their Nana to sleep over and play, and I got to spend some quality time with her while the kids were in school. We are looking forward to another visit from her AND Papa soon!

A Week in Review...Here in Naples

Well, we made it. After a whirlwind of a holiday season, packing, loading, saying goodbye, and wrangling children and pets, we arrived in Naples. It's been crazy but we have decided that this is the place for us.

We started off the arrival with Lee Lee and Bill who were able to assist us with the kids while Robert and I shuttled all of our baggage to Naples. It was a really nice visit and I think Lee may return soon to see more of what Naples has to offer! After their visit, we got to spend time with KK and Ryan on the boat. Harrison and Brooks both got a shot at Captain and Harrison tried to visualize exactly where the plank had to be. The next day, Brooks, Harrison and I made a trip to the zoo and the following day, we ventured to the Botanical Gardens with Jane.

Today was the first day of school for both kids at United Methodist and their teachers said they did great. Harrison jumped right into karate as soon as we got here and we have met several new friends already. This has been a busy and exciting time for us. We are very much missing our friends, family, and school but are excited for future visits. There is a lot more to explore here and we are looking forward to getting settled in our new spot. Visitors welcome!
