Thanksgiving in Athens

It was an Athens Thanksgiving this year with lots of activity and people to see. We stayed there for almost a week and even though we had a blast, I know why cocktails are ever so popular over the holidays. Harrison and Brooks both kept their annual tradition of arriving and leaving Athens with some form of a cold. They also both decided that sleeping in their own bed, through the night, was not an option. But even with these minor setbacks, the holiday was a huge success because we were able to spend lots of time with family and have fun at the same time.

Brooks and Harrison played in the leaves, jumped on the trampoline, met Uga before the football game (a crowd favorite), and played with friends at the tailgate, just to name a few. Harrison even got to have a couple special trips just with his daddy. They went to Mama and Da's house with Uncle Zach for a day of fishing, shooting, and hiking. They also went to a basketball game with Grand Dad Bill where Harrison got in on a few snapshots with Harry Dog. On top of all that, we ate, drank, took pictures, did some shopping, accessorized with fake mustaches, met up with friends, and drank some more.

We are very thankful for all the wonderful family and many blessings in our life!

Thanksgiving Feast at Advent Preschool

Harrison and Brooks had their Thanksgiving feast at school the Friday before Thanksgiving. The kids helped to make the meal and parents were there to watch the kids sing songs and enjoy the feast. It was madness but more than anything, it was adorable. I am going to be very sad to leave this school in December when we move. Harrison and Brooks love it there and so do I!

Visit with Virginia Anne & Wade

Another fun visit with Virginia Anne and Wade at Boone Park and then tennis lessons at the Yacht Club. Harrison and Brooks always enjoy their time with their DC cousins!

Jacksonville Zoo

School was out for Veteran's Day and what do you do with that?? You go watch wild animals run around as entertainment for the masses. And just to be clear, I'm not talking about the animals on display. I'm talking about the animals that happen to be my children. My good friend, Darby, and I took our 4 kiddos to zoo to enjoy some fresh air and see all the animals that the Jacksonville Zoo has to offer. It was a fun day and I know the kids were loving it. I've said this before but I have a feeling that Harrison and Brooks would make for a really good exhibit one day as exotic animals of Florida. They are a rare breed and are by no means, domesticated.
