Eight is Great!

After a well thought out and much talked about birthday plan, Harrison decided he wanted a lots of friends to help celebrate his 8th birthday. He knew he wanted a big party and he wanted it to be in the Avengers theme. It was up to Robert and I to do the rest. So we went big...as was requested. After concluding that paintball could wait another year or two (we were told most of the kids would probably cry the first time they were shot), we decided on The Game Guys. They are a mobile gaming station and they also set up a laser tag obstacle course. We invited about 20 kids and it was one of the best birthdays yet! The weather was great, we had a good venue at the park, kids had a blast, and most of all, we had great friends to join us. It was a fabulous day until the meltdown occurred for both Brooks and Harrison around bedtime. Sugar, pizza, and cake = bedtime hangover for Mommy & Daddy!

Weekend Trip to Jacksonville

Well, I just had my 20th high school reunion. That's right, 20th. I must not be as young as I think I am. Anyway, we went to Jacksonville to attend a fun night of celebrating with my old high school buddies at a cool, new restaurant downtown called The Candy Apple. But as an extra bonus of being in Jacksonville, we also got to spend time with a bunch of Rosenbloom family, including the newest Rosenbloom cousin, Sophia Rose. She is adorable! And, like any Jacksonville trip, there was tons of shenanigans with James and Christine. I also got to spend a day with my bestie and her 2 girls. It was a fantastic trip!

Easter In Naples with Lee Lee & Bill

This year we spent our first Easter in Naples. It was a great time since Lee Lee and Bill decided to come and stay with us for the holiday weekend. One of the best parts of the entire weekend was spending Saturday at Clam Pass and just sitting on the beach with the most perfect weather. We had a fun day on Easter Sunday celebrating with friends at the Vanover's Easter Egg hunt with about 100 kids. And, afterwards, we managed to squeak out a semi decent Easter lunch just before Lee Lee and Bill left for their flight.
