Movin' at the Speed of Light
To say my children are active would be a little bit of an understatement. I compare them to something more like spider monkeys amped up on a sugar high but what do I really know about spider monkeys anyway. They very well could be less active than my kids. The point is, Harrison and Brooks are on the go and there's nothing I can do to stop it. My only option is to try and wear them down by keeping them busy with endless activities but by the end of the day, I seem to be the one who is ready for a timeout.
Little Miss Brooksie is exactly 7 months and she has learned a few new tricks. She is crawling, can bring herself to sitting, and oh yeah, she can pull herself up to stand. I'm considering putting weights on her ankles so that she doesn't start walking tomorrow which I'm afraid will probably happen anyway. She is also babbling up a storm and I'm pretty sure she will be a talker, just like her mama.
And Mr. Harrison is taking on the swimming pool like a fish. He was a little hesitant of the pool at the beginning of spring but after spending a lot of time in the water, he has gotten his stamina back and is ready for some serious swimming. His buddies, Noah & Ethan, came over the other day and all 3 boys decided to tackle the pool. Ethan learned how to swim, Noah worked on his jumps, and Harrison took off kicking on his boggie board. As soon as he can lift that head up while swimming, I'll be looking into some lifeguard positions for him so that he can get a summer job. For practice of course.

Super Iron Spider Party!
Move over Mary Poppins, I have a new phrase...Superironspiderparty! And it's very contagious. Wow, what a day! It was so much fun to see the excitement in Harrison's eyes as he started to realize what all the anticipation has been about. He has known for the past week that a Superhero party was on the horizon but I do not think he had a clue that it would be such a marvelous event. As would be expected with anything superhero, we had an action packed day. Some of Harrison's best friends and family came to celebrate the H man turning 3 and they were ready to celebrate in character. I know I've mentioned this before but we are pretty much well supplied on anything superhero and after today, we are overstocked! All the kids seemed to have a blast and by the end of the party, Harrison looked like a zombie from all the excitement that the day had to offer. It was a perfect party with wonderful friends and family, plus, an awesome dog who is willing to get into character when the occasion calls for it. Happy 3rd Birthday Harrison! We love you!
