Athens Visit

Fun times were had once again as we ventured to Athens for almost an entire week. And I'd say about 50 % of that time was spent in a pool. Even Brooks is kicking up her water confidence and tackling the pool. She's still pretty wary of going into deeper waters, especially with me, but that didn't stop her from splashing around on the steps and occasionally, missing a step only to fall right into the pool. The kids had a great time playing at the Athen's Country Club Pool, playing with their new friends, Boone and Anna, and catching a variety of bugs in Lee Lee and Bill's yard. Harrison has developed an obsession with bugs and he managed to catch fireflies, ladybugs, rolly pollies, butterflies, spiders, a frog, a skink, and several worms. He is definitely my son! Even Brooks enjoys a good bug hunt when she's not too busy bossing people around to hold her or get her what she wants. Robert and I also got to spend a night away, in Atlanta, for a friend's wedding which happened to be a ton of fun. And, as always, we were very happy to spend some time with Mama and Da during our mini vacation to Athens. Great trip!
