4th of July in Athens

It's been a little while since my last post but I'm here to make up for it with oodles of pictures from the 4th of July weekend. Harrison was in Athens all last week with Lee Lee and Bill, and Brooks was able to spend some time with Mommy & Daddy as an only child. It was so much fun to spend one on one time with her and I know that Harrison was livin' it up while he was in Athens. His aunt Nat Nat even came in from DC to spend some time with him. On top of that, they made a special trip to the Georgia Aquarium. He is one lucky boy! And Robert and I got a week to smother Brooks with attention. She is almost ready to walk and I can't believe it! Both kids had a great week but no pictures to post from that time because I am starting off a new book and I want it to start with both kiddos!

So here we are in Athens! As always, there was lots going on. We spent a lot of time in the pool either at home or at the club. Harrison's swimming has taken off and he can now swim the width of the pool on his own. He can also dive down to the bottom (in the shallow end) to get rings. People are always very impressed with his swimming skills and can not believe that he is only 3 years old and swimming like a fish! Speaking of fish, Robert, Harrison and Bill caught 7 of them while fishing out at the lake. Obviously the fish were not too scared seeing as Harrison fell into the lake the second they got there...

We got to see our friends Ansley and Emmie K, got a haircut for Harrison, ran through sprinklers, bounced in the bounce houses at the club, and watched some pretty spectacular fireworks. AND...little Miss Brooksie got a tooth (bottom right)! It was a great weekend and I have a feeling that it may take a few days for Harrison to wind down from all his activities. If the ride home was any kind of indicator, we're in for a pretty long week.
