Weekend Fun

I'm almost positive that this will be my last blog entry on tadpoles so don't worry. But just to keep you posted, Harrison and I went on yet, another tadpole catching adventure. Since we released our last batch a couple days ago, we went back to the same spot to see how much they had grown. Well, they are almost frogs. In fact, Harrison caught one that resembled more of a sea creature than a tadpole. And by the next morning, he was a tree frog! This is very fascinating for us so I figured I would document it here on the blog.

In other weekend news, both Saturday and Sunday were spent visiting with people that we love to see. Unfortunately, Robert was out of town for the weekend but on the upside, my best friend, Amy, came to spend Saturday and Saturday night with us. Or, as Harrison calls her, Mamie. She may have had a little more than she bargained for after seeing what a nap deprived 3 year old acts like after being denied his 80th turn on a spiderman computer game. But she is an obvious trooper because not only did she roll with the punches, she also tolerated our container of overnight tadpole visitors sitting on the kitchen counter. A container that included one eager tadpole who was ready to crawl out any minute. And anyone who knows Amy knows that this is NOT her ideal environment. But we loved having her visit and hope she will visit again very soon!

And on Sunday we met up with Ma, Pa, Ralph, Brooks and Leigh for lunch and an afternoon of swimming at the Yacht Club. Both Brooks and Harrison exerted all their energy swimming which made for a peaceful ride home. The weekend was topped off by the arrival of Robert on Sunday evening. He was gone for almost a week and Harrison and Brooks were all smiles the second he walked in the door. Great weekend!
